The Best of Both Worlds
Colibri’s coolant-driven high speed spindle models: GreenJET and HPC (High Pressure Coolant),
are now available in a compact Angle Head configuration:
- Fixed orientation 90 degree angle model
- Adjustable orientation +/- 90 degree angle model
Both Angle Head models feature high rigidity and low run-out. The fixed orientation 90 degree angle model is available with an ER32 adaptor. The adjustable orientation model uses a BT40 adaptor.
Multiple Advantages
The Angle Head Jet Spindle gives you all the advantages of high speed machining coupled with greater flexibility — increased accessibility in hard to reach places and expanded capabilities for three-axis machines.
Using the Angle Head configuration when necessary further helps to reduce production time by enabling horizontal and angular milling and drilling without the need to reposition the work piece for additional operations.
Speed & Performance Monitoring
Angle Head Jet Spindles are equipped with a real-time wireless RPM monitor and display system. Monitoring RPMs during spindle operation ensures optimum performance and constant speed. The system can be pre-programmed, monitors multiple spindle activity and also sends out alerts or warnings.
Coolant Feed Collar
The Collar is used when coolant feed through the spindle is not possible. The Jet Spindle accesses the coolant via a pipe inserted through the collar. Interchangeable adaptors for the Collar system include – DIN, HSK, BT, CAT and are compatible with most automatic tool changers.
